About me

Hello everyone,

Firstly, thank you for visiting and secondly, welcome!

I'm Hayley and I'm a 30-something graphic designer from Essex. For 12 years I worked in publishing, but after being made redundant from my previous job (due to the pandemic) I started putting together prints and greetings card as a creative outlet. It will come as no surprise that I am a massive Disney and Harry Potter fan!

The name Whirlygig comes from a childhood nickname and my naturally curly hair, which was particularly prominent when I was younger. To this day family members still call me Whirly, Whirls or Whirlygig.

​

I believe everything about Whirlygig (including the face behind it) is cheerful, friendly and doesn't take themselves too seriously. I love what I do and as long as I get to be creative one way or another then I'm happy!

​

Outside of Whirlygig, I work part-time as a Marketing assistant for a local charity and I'm mummy to my 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son, so no day is ever the same (or quiet!)
